Sometimes, points are made best succinctly. That's what Jim O'Donnell, the news editors of SearchManufacturingERP.com, does in his article "Manufacturers Begin to Embrace Cloud ERP Software." Manufacturers implementing ERP have been one of the slowest groups in moving to the cloud, O'Donnell explains because of worries over security and control.
However, these concerns are going away as manufacturers come to realize that they can avoid the problems and pitfalls of having to run their own their own software. Plus, cloud ERP is much more affordable for smaller and mid-sized manufacturers who could not undertake the much higher costs of an on-premise system.
